Analog Devices offers a variety of integrated front-end ICs that offer a compelling size advantage over previous generations of solutions. These RF amplifier-based front ends combine several functions into one product to simplify the overall signal chain in applications such as telecommunications, radar, and electronic warfare. The SWaP of these solutions is significantly reduced compared to separate functional block alternatives. One application is for the transmit/receive front end of a phased array radar antenna. These solutions often combine the power amplifier, low noise amplifier, and switch to toggle between Tx and Rx into one product to create a much simpler overall solution.

Analog Devices’ RF differential amplifiers are configured for both precision and high speed. RF differential amplifiers allow the process of single-ended input to complementary differential outputs or differential inputs to differential outputs. Differential outputs allow twice the output signal of conventional amplifiers, to get the most signal on low supplies.

RF gain blocks are used in industrial applications, wireless infrastructure, aerospace, and defense. Analog Devices offers a large family of RF gain blocks that are internally matched to 50 ‎Ω at the input and output for ease of use. These RF gain blocks have output power ranging from 5 dBm up to approximately 1 W while covering various bandwidths and gain levels. All ADI gain blocks are fully specified over frequency, temperature, and supply voltage.

Analog Devices’ radio frequency low noise amplifiers (RF LNAs) offer some of the lowest noise and highest linearity available in the industry. Many of the designs offer a self-biased topology and are internally matched to 50 Ω. They are used in a wide range of applications, including telecom, instrumentation, and military/aerospace. All ADI RF LNAs are fully specified over frequency, temperature, and supply voltage.

Analog Devices’ RF power amplifiers are based on GaN and GaAs semiconductor technology spanning kHz to 95 GHz. In addition to bare die and surface mount components, our portfolio also includes GaN-based power amplifier modules with output power exceeding 8 kW. Designed for excellent linearity at high output power, our RF power amplifiers maintain good heat dissipation and high reliability at elevated temperatures for a wide variety of wired and wireless applications. Many of the RF power amplifiers cover decades of bandwidth, supporting instrumentation and military applications with a single IC. There are numerous narrowband products supporting both telecommunication and satellite communication links as well. The large selection of products offers the ability to choose the right product for the application.
