Memory ICs

Analog Devices’ memory products consist of specialized memory featuring the 1-Wire® interface, NFC, or static RAM and nonvolatile RAM controllers. Our 1-Wire memory devices combine memory, mixed-signal, and secure authentication functions through a single-contact serial interface. Our NVSRAM devices feature fast reads/writes and the endurance of SRAM with the convenience of nonvolatile multiple memory configurations and package options. Our NVRAM controllers convert CMOS RAM into nonvolatile memory while optionally integrating time keeping functions.

iButton® devices are small, durably packaged modules with globally unique 64-bit digital addresses. An iButton device uses a 16mm stainless steel "can" as an electronic communications interface. The iButton can has a data contact, called the lid, and a ground contact, called the base. Each of the iButton contacts is connected to the silicon chip inside. The iButton base includes a flange to simplify attaching the iButton device to just about anything. Enhanced by our 1-Wire® communications protocol, iButton devices provide the ability to deliver or record data where other products cannot, such as in very harsh environments. An iButton device is ideal for any application where information needs to follow a person or object, such as temperature and humidity data logging, access control, asset tracking, and electronic cash (eCash) transactions.

iButton® accessories are used to establish physical and electrical connections to the device. Attaching an iButton to an asset to be tracked or a key fob for access control is easy. Analog Devices offers several types of mounts and holders to address the needs of applications where iButton devices are used. Additionally, readers and probes enable an electromechanical connection to a device such as a PC for reading and writing to the iButtons.

Data loggers and memory devices track the temperature, or temperature and humidity, of specific assets or locations. Most data loggers offered by Analog Devices are in the rugged iButton® form factor to protect against the harsh environments they are subjected to.
