Analog Devices offers a broad portfolio of oscillators ranging from voltage-controlled oscillators (VCO) with excellent phase noise performance, wideband options, and multiple output choices, to silicon oscillators with programmable frequencies via pin-strapping, resistor connections, or serial interfaces (SPI or I2C). Silicon oscillators are solid-state clocks that are well-suited for general purposes, such as PGAs, ASICs, and microprocessors while also being ideal for switching regulator clocking as they provide synchronization and EMI reduction (via spread spectrum).
